South West State President Laftagareen Visits Hudur to Strengthen Security & Development

MOGADISHU, December 22, 2025 (Somalia Tribune) – The President of South West State of Somalia, Mr. Abdiasis Hassan Mohamed Laftagareen, made an official visit to Hudur District in Bakool Region, where he was warmly welcomed by regional and district officials, security personnel, traditional elders, and community representatives.

The purpose of the visit is to assess the current state of security, review public service delivery, and accelerate ongoing development projects across Hudur and the wider Bakool Region.

During his stay, President Laftagareen held meetings with local leaders to listen to their recommendations and understand the communities’ needs. The discussions focused on fostering peace, enhancing development, and strengthening collaboration between the government and local populations.

The visit underlines the administration’s commitment to stability, progress, and inclusive governance, ensuring that development efforts respond directly to the priorities of the people in Hudur and throughout Bakool.
