Hodan Omer Buh, a journalist and social affairs analyst, officially launched a specialized training program for Somali media professionals in Dhusamareb, focusing on the safety and security of journalists.
The training was designed to enhance journalists’ understanding of personal safety, risk assessment, conflict-sensitive reporting, digital security, and practical measures for protecting themselves while carrying out their professional responsibilities.
During the opening session, Hodan Omer Buh emphasized that the safety of journalists is essential to ensuring a free, independent, and responsible media.
